In this Directory we have decided to bring together in one section the various forms of counselling and psychotherapy. We recognise that it can be confusing for the lay person to know which approach might be best, as there wide variations in methods and training requirements. We therefore advise you to ask any questions you might have when you contact an individual therapist.
In essence, all approaches aim to help you get in touch with your inner resources in way that will enrich your life, give you more sense of choice and enable you to move forward in the direction of fulfilment and harmony. Usually psychotherapy involves a longer term commitment and working at a greater depth.
